This could have been a great book but it was just too drawn out for me. There were large sections I could have skipped over and the story line wouldn't have changed a bit. I normally finish a book in a day but this one took me over two weeks. That says a lot. The story was there and the characters were likable so I will look at other books by this author in the future in hopes that this might have changed.

This book is totally worth buying!! I bought this book after reading a few reviews expecting to get some laughs, but what I got was rip roaring comedy and the most zanny and quirky characters that just made me wish the story never ended.

I can't wait for the next installment of Glory, North Carolina's residents. I have to really commend Karen Hawkins' sense of humor. The condom scene is just one that made me laugh so hard because it was just so unexpected and just so hilarious.

All I can say is that everyone should just go buy this book and make sure to keep it in your keepers shelf so that you can come back and laugh often with the folks of Glory, N.C.

I've grown accustomed to Ms Hawkins Regency Romance books. It was nice to have my favorite author place this one closer to home in areas and time frame that I am more familiar with (North Carolina). The story line flowed gracefully and kept me riveted, I could not put this one down until it was finished.
The book started off as being really funny with a pretty good storyline, but went downhill fast.
I think the author got to caught up in the senior citizens and the rest of the story crashed and burned.
This is not a book I will read again or recommend.
This novel is so hot, you may need a fan to fan yourself. Karen Hawkins rocks this down south, going back to the hometown to care for an ailing mother novel.
The story line had me crying, laughing, sighing and wishing for a nice tall glass of iced tea to cool myself down.
Buy this book! You will love it. Funny, sexy, even a mystery to solve. All the characters are people I'd want to know if they were real. Karen hawkins is ....oh just probably the best author ever.
This is the first book from the author which is set in the town of Glory. The second book, Lois Lane Tells All continues with some of the characters from this book.

I really enjoyed both of these stories, the second book just slightly more. The stories both have some great characters and a bit of mystery and of course, some steamy sex! A lot of fun reading and recommmended! I'll be looking for more books by the author.
What a charming lighthearted romp this was. Loved all the characters. I live in a small town and I recognized a lot of these characters and I might even be one myself! All I know is if I can't be a hottie like Roxie and attract an equally hot Nick I can at least aspire to be just like Aunt Clara. She's a pip that one! This was a perfect summer read and a joy from page one to the end.
